Spoke to a friend I have met here in NYC after the game who used to play pro basketball. He said he had had court side tickets and thought I missed out on great seats. But we had a great time anyway!

Afterwards the game we went for a beer at an Irish pub by Hotel Metro on 35th St & Broadway called Playwright Pub. And as you saw above, there was a beautiful fog as an extra layer over town that night.
If you are ever in New York on your birthday, that is the place to visit. Drink for free all day if you can prove with a passport/id or equivalent that it is in fact your birthday. Funny. Then I ended up at Pete’s Bar on 18th & Irvings Place. Very nice sports bar that Magnus, who was visiting, and his friends had found. Afterwards we went over to The Coffee Shop by Union Square that is open almost 24/7 and had some late night snack around midnight. Magnus ended up going home by 1am but Jonathan and I stuck around until 1.30pm when he was kind enough to walk me home, and took me on a tour through the Meatpacking District telling me a lot about the history of the area, the current nightlife and where to go.
